How to disable Hyperlink Popup from xlsm Excel 2007 in Windows 7
Hello I have created several automated spreadsheets that call on an external server to pull data. I was able to disable the hyperlink warnings in XP via the registry setting notice from Microsoft. I've since moved to a Window 7 machine and I've not been able to suppress the messages. The DisableHyperlinkWarning REG-DWORD entry in the Security directory is already set to 1. The Method 2 only describes how to do it for WMV files. Some help would be greatly appreciated. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925757

Hi, The WMV files is just an exmaple. Also, please make sure that you havenot opened the files in Protected View. Additionally, since your question is related to Office Product, I also recommend posting a thread at http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/officeitpro for help.Juke Chou TechNet Community Support

Thanks Juke. Can you explain how this would workd for xlsm or any other file? I don't have an EditFlags registry subkey under the .xlsm directory. Should I create it myself? Is this even the directory or should I be looking at one of the Excel.Sheet directories. There are so many to choose from? Thanks for your help

I'm also having a similar issue, specifically with .xlsm files. There doesn't seem to be a key for this type of file. I have Protected View disabled in Excel and IE.
