How to decouple Nook & MS account

Win 8.1 Pro

Nook app

I accidentally joined my MS account to an old barnes & noble login. That login is not the nook reader account login.  How can I decouple the join and resubmit the correct nook logon account?

Since account issues contain private information which cannot be shared in a public forum please use the online form listed below. They are the only ones who have access to your account information, we simply don't.

All account related questions should now be asked online using the Microsoft Online form
Select the error you need help with and fill out the requested details on the next page.  You need to be signed in with a Microsoft account to access the form. If you are unable to access your primary account, you can use an alternate account (if you have one) or create a new one https://signup.live.com/

Hi

I tested in my mahcine, if you connect your Microsoft Account with the App, you can still easily sign out and switch to your Nook account or merge the two accounts.

Move mouse to the right side\Settings\Account and Payment

You have the crux of the problem. I merged an old barnes & noble account with my Microsoft account. I need to "Un-Merge" them so I can use the correct Nook account login. Can it be done?

Hi,

Apologize for my misunderstanding, I tested again, after I merged the two accounts, I can still sign out and re-sign in with my Nook Account, when I re-sign in with my Nook Account, it is separated from the Microsoft Account, but if I re-sign in with Microsoft Account, it is shown as merged. So you can sign in with your Nook account manually, to completely decouple the two, I recommend you contact a barnes & noble support for "how to".

It appears to be a design flaw. Once the nook & MS account are joined, it is permanent.
