How to deactivate network autorefresh?
Good day! How can I deactivate Windows 7 network autorefresh? Meaning: if Windows Explorer shows any folder and anything changes in this folder (eg a new file named "adam.jpg" is created from any other pc) the folderview will be refreshed (eg the whole filelist changes because "adam.jpg" will be sorted in the current filellist and will be vied at the top of the list and any file like "hugo.doc" will be moved down) thank you for any reply! greetings daniel

Hi Daniel, You can change the shared folder "Sort by" setting to change the sorting method you preferred. To do so, right click on the shared folder, point to Sort by and then select the way you like. For more information, please refer to: Arrange, sort, or group your filesPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

Thank you for your answer. I think you did missunderstand my question: the problem is NOT the sorting or groups, the problem is, that the view is refreshed immediately after any changes (ex: renaming of one file) and the whole list is refreshed (so the renamed file jumps to a different position in the list) - same problem if any other person renames any file. greetings daniel
