How to convert a dual boot PC to a single operating system?
I have a dual boot laptop with Win7 and Win8. I want to move the Win8 system to another machine. The question is, after I uninstall Win8, do I need to do anything to eliminate the initial dual boot screen?

You needn't to uninstall the Win8 operating system.

If the disk partition the Win8 occupies only contains the content of the operating system, after making backup for data stored in system folder(s), usually C:\Users\%user_name%\My Documents\%app_name%, you may simply format the whole partition.

If the Win8 operating system shares the same parititon with other data files, you may boot up into the Win7 operating system, then only delete the files belonging to the win8 operating system. The deletion may need Administrator permission and to change files/folders security settings.
