Does anyone out there know how to clear or reset a multi monitor configuration back to default (only showing one monitor in the display settings)? I have a user who has 3 monitors including the laptop monitor but when you look under display settings it is showing 4 displays. So there is one phantom display in the settings. This is causing issues where applications will some times open up in this phantom monitor and you cannot get to said application window. I've researched this and the only thing I was able to find is how to do it on Vista and below. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Please backup the registry keys before you made modifications to them.
