How to change the body of the Outlook Lync plugin email invite.

I would like to use Lync in conjunction with a 3rd party Voip provider. To do so, I would like to modify the body of the invitation to include the VOIP conference phone # and link. I have tried a macro, which works but cannot be easily distributed to other users. I have an email invite from a company that seems to have achieved this, but I do not know the details of how it was done.

I am using Lync with an Office 365 subscription and Office 2013.

You would either need to manually enter it, use a macro, or possible use a qualified third party Office 365 APC.  The only qualified ACP (audio conferencing provider) for Office365 that I'm aware of is InterCall though: https://pinpoint.microsoft.com/Applications/12884917067?id=searchResult

Hi TjmAtKnoa,

Agree with Anthony, you need to manually enter it.

If you want to change the default content, it is feasible to add some organization wide content. You can add the Logo URL, Help URL, legal URL and Footer text of the Online meeting in Lync Admin Center.

A similar case for your reference.

Thank you both for the responses.

The pin doesn't change in this case, so a workaround we came up with was to create a signature that has the information. So delete the default content and add the selected signature. Basically manual, but a bit simplified.

Thanks again.

Yep, manually entered as a signature.  Wish there was another way, sorry.

The magic happens via the standard "Lync Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013" installed by Lync where a customed developed (COM) Add-in may be an option in your situation.

Thanks / rgds,
