How to change magnifier mode?
I have windows 7, and I'm a magnifier user, the new magnifier in windows 7 uses the mode called "Clear Type". This mode is not clear to me because I have low vision. I looked for an option for that but I didn't find. So, how can I display the magnifier as in windows xp without the new Clear Type mode?

assemkh - I'm not entirely sure how good Windows 7 would look without ClearType - but it's not that hard to disable. If you open the magnifier, click the toolbar open and then click the Option button (the one that looks like a gear, second from the end), you'll see the options screen. There are two links on the bottom of this dialog box - the 2nd to last one opens the ClearType Text Tuner. It reads "Fine tune what my screen fonts look like"

I hate Clear Type feature which is used in new windows products like vista, 7, IE8, windows live hotmail, messenger 2009 ...etc because this feature make text unclear and hard to read for low vision people like me. So, i suggest microsoft to put this feature as optional feature.

assemkh - That's kind of ironic - given that the purpose of ClearType is to make screens - especially LCDs - EASIER to read. As it's been pointed out - it IS optional - it can be disabled fairly easily.

How can I disable it in Windows vista, 7, messenger 2009, windows live hotmail?

Assemkh - When you disabled it for the magnifier, it takes you to the ClearType control panel - and that would mean it disabled it globally for all applications.
