How can I change the proxy settings used by WerConCpl? A network monitor revealed that Windows 7's WerConCpl and several other Windows network services (e.g. SeaPort) running on a laptop computer always try to connect to the Web proxy server used by our Lab, whether or not the laptop is connected to our Lab's network. Since that proxy server is not available when using a laptop away from the Lab, this prevents WerConCpl and other services from working. "Use a proxy server" has already been disabled in Internet Settings.
