I have an automated UI application which runs fine on win2k8R2 but on win7 it fails as the firewall blocker popup saying that the exe has been blocked and do you want to allow public, domain profile etc ...comes up. Though I set firewall rules to enable this exe and I can see those rules in firewall settings. But still thopup flashes causing the test to fail. I assume this would be a common problem and either am not settng the rule properly or there is some setting to disable this popup from coming up. If you don't have access to firewall configuration screens "Firewall Manager -> Firewall Options" you simply can't. If you have access then you should set the ports used by your P2P software to allowed on firewall settings.
