Hi all, When I try to access a network shared folder over the domain of my company, I am able to do so without providing any login and password. I guess it’s because I am authenticated over the domain and that I’ve already provided my login/pwd the first time. I would like Windows to prompt me for the login and password to use when accessing a shared folder, when I enter a UNC path in a Windows explorer (like \\Machine, or when expanding Network from Windows explorer and clicking on the machine). At least every time I reboot my computer. Do you know how I can do that on Windows Seven (and XP by the way)? I’ve tried net use * /delete, but this only disconnects all the mapped drives that exist. It still remembers the login and password to be used. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your quick reply. I've opened this, and deleted all the existing entries. But it still does not prompt me for any login and password when accessing a shared folder over my domain... I've tried to restart the computer, but still the same behaviour. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks for your help! Regards.

Hi, This depends on the computer's policy setting you are accessing. Also, Windows 7 will use this credential by default. If your current logon user has permission to access the shared folder, Windows 7 will not prompt you for a credentail.
