How to Access my office VPN from my home network (In other words: from another network)
Hi there, I am attempting to set up a VPN from my office to be able to access it from home but I have no clue what to use as an IP address to access the VPN I've already created. I've set up the VPN network on a Windows 7 PC, and am now trying to connect to it through Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP laptops. Any ideas on how I can gt this going? So far I've found absolutely nothing online to help with this. Thanks in advance.

Since you need to modify the router settings at your office when setting up a VPN, you will need to discuss the matter with your network administrator. There is a lot of information on the web to help you set up a VPN. Here are a few useful links: http://www.howtonetworking.com/VPN/win7vpn1.htm http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html www.howtonetworking.com/Windows/vpnsetup.htm (not yet checked)

Hi, To create a VPN client on Windows 7, you can refer to the following steps. 1.Click Start button --> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Share Center --> Click "Set up a new connection or network" under the "Change your networking settings". 2.Select " Connect to a workplace" and click Next --> Use my internet connection (VPN) --> Type the internet address and destination name in the box --> Check 'Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later' and click Next --> Enter your VPN username and password --> Then click the 'Create' button --> Click the 'Close' button to finish. Regarding the IP address, VPN username and password, you should contact your network administrator to obtain the information and permission. Just like Pegasus said. Thanks, Novak
