How often should a Windows 7 System Restore Disc be created?
I do a complete PC backup each week with the Windows 7 backup application. My question: Should a new system restore disc be created each week immediately after each complete backup?
Thanks!

Hi Eric
You only need to create one System Repair Disk.
When you boot from this disk it gives you access to all of the pre-boot repair options, such as System Restore, Stsrtup Repair, Restore from a backup image, Command Prompt, etc.
It's a good idea to check this disk occassionally to make sure it has not been damaged.
Here is a screenshot of the repair options dialog.
Hope this helps.
Thank You for using Windows 7

Ronnie,
One last question before you close out this thread: Given that the Win 7 Backup does not backup EFS certificates, anything that I have encrypted with EFS, I have been, as a best practice (in my mind) I have decrypted it prior to backing up and then re-encrypting
upon completion of said back up.
Sound like a good idea?
I realize that I don't want the SRD nor the seperate internal drive falling into the wrong hands, otherwise the encrypted info could be accessed, but assuming I did not have to worry about that, my plan sounds good, right??
Thanks!
Eric
