Magon Liu, Thanks for your reply but the link provided goes to Page not found. Please understand, I know how to use the UAC and disable the Guest account and it does indicate that the Guest account is off. If you will, please answer the original question. What can I do to prevent access, deny use of the Guest account if the feature under the UAC does not work? It says Guest account is off. As I mentioned before, the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer indicated the Guest account is active and in use and I'd like for someone to tell me how to shut it down since I can't delete the account without your assistance. Thanks. JC

Hi, I used the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer a few days ago and it determined my Guest account is active. I thought how could that be if the UAC says Guest Account is Off. I checked my Event Logs and sure enough the MBSA was correct. Someone is logging into my computer using the Guest account. See below: An account was successfully logged on. Subject Security ID Susan/Susan Account Name Susan Account Domain Susan Logon ID 0x45a19 Logon Type 3 New Logon: Security ID Susan/Guest Account Name Guest Account Domain Susan Logon ID 0x305ce3 Logon GUID {0000000000-0000-0000-000000000000} Process Information Process ID 0xc5c Process Name C:\windows\explorer.exe Detalied Authentication Information Logon Process Advapi Authentication Pkg Negotiate Key Length 0 What can I do about this. Thanks. JC
