How do you remove a wireless router from a network with Windows 7 OS??
I used a friends router to set up my new windows 7 PC and now I am operating on my own wireless. However, I can't get disconnected from the original wireless. Every time I connect to the internet my PC also connects to the other wireless. How can I stop this from happening??

Type networks at the Start menu, and select "Manage wireless networks."Here you can change the search & connectorder for wireless networks (top-most is 1st priority), as well as delete a network.HTH,Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. Hi,If you mean the list of the icon in system tray, it is not changeable. As you will automatically connect to your friend's router, you can check the list and see if the "auto connect" box is checked. If so, uncheck it.Then you can go to Manage Wireless networks as Chris said, find your friend's wireless network, double click to open it, uncheck "connect automatically when this network is in range".
