How do I uninstall an ancient version of Net Meeting?
I inherited a laptop running Windows XP SP2. One of the programs is Net Meeting, which obviously doesn't work any more -- but I cannot uninstall it through the Control Panel>add/remove programs. It's not even listed there. How do I uninstall it? Thanks.1 person got this answerI do too

Interesting. It removed a bunch of files, but Net Meeting is still working.Ah, well, I guess it wasn't that necessary. I was just trying to clear out some old junk. Thanks anyhow.

It isn't necessary to remove...harmless to keep. Your system may just have found a copy in the .dll cache directory from which to restore the files as would be the behavior of the Windows File Protection service. That's also nothing to worry about as the behavior is by design (and for good reason).
