How do I transfer files to remote machine in a network?
Hi, I'm in a corporate network using machine A running windows xp pro. I have administrator privilege on this machine and all machines in the network are connected to the windows server (DC). Is it possible to push or transfer documents/files from my machine to remote machine B? If so, what are the ways available beside share drives? Pls advice.Thanks.1 person needs an answerI do too

Normally in a domain one doesn't share out workstations' drives. One normally has a general office shared file on the server (or variations on same). That way you can easily copy any files you want from your workstation to that folder and they will be available to others in the domain. Naturally you can set permissions on the share to restrict certain users if desired. MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

Try logging on to Machine A as a domain admin, then Start/Run and type \\machineB\c$That'll probably do the trick. MCSE - www.nextstepnetworks.com
