How do I run Visio 2007 as administrator
I am trying to run Microsoft Visio 2007 as Administrator in order to reverse engineer a database. However, the option for this is greyed out and it is unclear why this is the case. Is there some kind of security setting in Windows 7 I need to modify in order to ungrey the option?

Hi, It may be gray out because W7 does not think you are administrator. Try this To Run Program as different user in Win 7 . Hightlight programme icon then use the shift key + right click together then run as different user (ie domaim admin.) Slan go foill, Paul

Interesting. That does work. What I find puzzling, however,is a simple Right-Click/Run as Administrator works for every other application (including Microsoft Team Suite, etc.) that I need to run with administrator privliages (FYI, I am logged in with admin privilages). Why does Visio require a SHIFT/Right-Click/Run as Administrator?
