How do I report this bug/error?
First, I'll start by saying I know how to use a computer, but I'm not a big techie; so please explain any questions you have for me. I was running Windows 7 Build 7000 and our computer crashed. It refused to boot into Windows, instead going into "Startup Repair"(I think that's what it was called.) This would always end with the computer saying it was unable to fix the problem, reboot, and start the same sequence. I could also choose "Start Windows Normally", but it would still go into Startup Repair. I tried to do a System Restore to a point before the computer was giving me problems with no luck. I finally got a copy of Build 7100 on DVD and booted/installed from that. We lost all our files/programs on this computer, but I had backups as I know enough not to trust everything to a Beta OS. I have no idea what happened or how to report it to Mircrosoft, so I'm just looking for help with what to do next. My computer's stats: Inspiron 1318, Intel Core 2 Duo T5750, 2.0GHz, 667Mhz 2M L2 Cache

first, this forum is already a good place to post your experiences/comments about the official builds of windows 7 (currently 7100 RC). If you've got questions, you'll get a lot of help around.second, as ronnie had stated in one of the threads, the send feedback tool integrated in early betas had been removed to give the RC the 'feel' of the final release.if you've got an invitation (CONNECT) during the early betas, youMIGHT be able to send feedback by manually bringing up the tool (run -> type 'rundll32.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizard'), im really not sure since i haven't tried the betas."The RC is done and what we are doing is validating this against the breadth of the ecosystem and with partners. It means, from our perspective, we have run many tests many times and are working to understand the quality of the release in a breadth sense. Were all familiar with this as we have done this same thing as we went from pre-Beta to Beta and from Beta to RC. The primary difference with the RC is that we will not be changing the functionality or features of the product at this pointthats the sort of thing well save for a future release."
