the first thing I would do is to ensure that all my documents folder files. e.g. documents, pics, music, etc... have been copied into your new user account. also, copy your favorites and ascertain your email boxes too. -- db`...><)))> ."invenio15" wrote in message news:3c7b3c28-a5c8-4069-a3ff-a602dec787fd...I reinstalled Windows XP on my computer after it crashed. Hi,If you have reinstalled a clean copy of OS, There is an option in Disk cleanup to delete previous installation. To start disk cleanup: Open My Computer -> right click drive c -> select Properties -> Disk cleanup -> in the list you will get option for "Delete previous installation". Once you clean up the files, defrag your drive:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314848.

Thanks for the info. However, my disk cleanup did not have an option for "Delete previous installation". Any other options I could try?

You can delete windows.old folder if your new windowss working properly. To remove dual boot option right click My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced -> Under Startup and recovery click settings -> there you can minimise the time for "time to display the operating system".
