Which system setting? What type account? IMAP? POP3? Hotmail? Where was the e-mail file located? Who is your mail server? Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]

1: You said it was your system setting. Why are yo not sure?3: What personal folders?2 & 4: Internet Explorer is a browser like Internet Explorer. If you have a POP3 account, then you must be using an e-mail client such as Outlook Express, MS Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, etc.Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]

Sounds like you may have AutoArchive running. Click File | Open | Outlook Data File and see if you see an Archive.PST file. If so, open it and see if the missing mail is there. -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook
