Greetings to Everyone here today....14 July, 2012 Here is my situation: Getting BSOD...New situation for my PC. BSOD displays 5-6 MS error codes. The monitor screen stays up only approx 4 secs B4 it >>>>all the data to the Crash Dump File. Since I can not get past the POST, this does me no-good. So, the first ? is, How do I pause or freeze the monitor screen during the BSOD, so I can share the error codes with folks like you all, who know much more about them than I do. When the computer boots up, be Quick and press F8, You will now get to Advanced Boot Options. Here you can choose "Disable automatic restart on system failure"

If you can get into Windows (whether in Safe Mode or Normal), go to Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings (on the left). Click the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery section, and uncheck Automatically Restart under System Failure. This will prevent Windows from restarting on a BSOD, giving you time to jot down the information on the screen to help solve the problem. SC Tom
