How do I get my new Toshiba laptop to access my existing Linksys Router?  HELP!
I have a Linksys Model WRT54G V2.2, 2.4 GHz with 54Mbps. With this I have been running my old Gateway laptop. The Gateway has physical issues so this weekend I purchased a new Toshiba laptop. First, the Gateway ran on Windows XP. I had no problems connecting to the internet with the Gateway. Back to the Toshiba: It has Windows 7 OS, and is a larger laptop in that it has 4 GB memory and 320 GB hard drive. When I attempt to access the Internet through the Toshiba it keeps telling me that my router isn't working properly. It suggests re-starting the router and modem, which I did. The Gateway worked fine, but the Toshiba won't connect to the Internet. Do you think I need to buy a new router? Or is there some sort of file I can download through Linksys that will enable me to access the internet with the Toshiba? Thank you so very much. Miss Vivian

Most likely you did not configure wireless or wired network adapter properly on new laptop, and so it fails connecting to Internet. Feel free to check out this wireless adapter or wired adapter configuration example, think will give you more ideas to solve your problem. Hope this helps.
