How do I get a windows 7 machine to connect to a shared folder on the domain controller?
I am attempting to setup xerox scanning on a windows 7 machine. I have a repository folder setup (and functioning) on my server 2008 r2 domain controller. All my clients are not on the domain controller yet but those are able to scan with no problem. I cannot see the network on this windows 7 machine. Also, it is the only windows 7 machine on the domain controller, so far, but I will be adding more and I need to know how to resolve this issue. The Scanport software indicated to setup a GPO for this problem. I'm relatively new to GPO's so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums. I suggest that you enable Network Discovery. Click Start->Control Panel->Network and Sharing Center, click Change advanced sharing settings. Enable the option. No, the issue has NOT been resolved! Your recommendation, which I had already done before I posted my issue, did not resolve anything. So, I still have the problem. I know I cannot be the only person that's ever had this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Got the same problem. Every configuration seems fine and says that sharing is all enabled, but Windows 7 just won't see my shared drive on my other computer in the same IP subnet.
