How do I erase a Mac partition on an external hard drive so I can change it to FAT32?
Here's the situation: I have a large music library that I want to make portable. I have a 1TB external drive that I want to use. It is currently configured with 2 partitions: one is 50gb FAT32 and the other is Mac formatted. I want to make the whole drive one FAT32 partition (or two, if partition size is an issue) so I can carry my music around on the HD. Can this be easily done with XP? I'm thinking I might take it into the disk utility in Snow Leopard to do this, but I'm much more comfortable working with Windows. So... how do I reclaim that Mac partition? XP doesn't recognize that it even exists when I plug in the drive, though of course it sees the FAT32 partition.1 person needs an answerI do too
