I usually leave my PC on. Today, between 3:09 a.m. and 8:44 a.m., there were six instances of the following warning message in the Event Viewer ... "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk2\D during a paging operation."The Microsoft help link says not to worry about this if it's not on a primary drive, presumably the C drive. However, after the last instance of the warning message, the machine powered off. When I got home, I had to reboot it. There were no power failures in the house. I ran BlueScreenViewer but it came up empty.Can repeated paging errors on a secondary drive lead to a PC shutting down? 1 person got this answerI do too
