How do I connect windows 7 computer to Vista workgroup?
I have a work group created on Vista Machine and other vista machines can coonect, but there does not seem to be a setting in Windows 7 (W7) to connect to the workgroup. When i view the network map in vista it displays the Main Vista computer and my laptop running vista. it displays the W7 machines as another device on another network. I turned off the homegroup I have the windows 7 computer connected through a wireless bridge. I am using the RC 1 Build 7100 fully updated

AZDiablo:Workgroup settings are displayed in a different dialog in Windows 7. To change your workgroup settings, click the Start button, right click 'Computer' and select 'Properties'. On the right-hand side, under "Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings", click "Change settings". In this dialog, click the "Change..." button and change your workgroup name. You may need to restart your computer for this to take effect.

My Windows 7 Ultimate laptop is setup to connect to WORKGROUP and I've shared the drive and STILL I have trouble connecting. I have to say that both Vista and 7 seems much less willing to connect to a WORKGROUP type of network than Windows XP Pro. Any other tips?

I have changed "Properties" ... they show the correct computer name and workgroup .... After hitting "Refresh" multiple times I can see 3 of the 5 computers/devices on the local network plus the Windows 7 computer ... I cannot see the one computer running Windows 98 (even though all the other computers on the network can see it) or the NAS device (even though all the other computers on the network can see it). It seemes to be working ... in part ... Any thoughts on how to see the remaining 2 computers/devices on the network from the WIndows 7 computer? TIA...
