How do I back up windows 7 to an external hard drive.
I just bought a new 1 TB hard drive and I am trying to back up my Windows 7 on there. The only thing similar to this that I can find is how to create back-up discs. How can I get the back-up files onto the hard drive and not a disc?

Yes, you can backyour Win7 to an external hard drive, please make sure your hard drive can be recongized first, then you need change the backup settings. Please refer to the following steps. 1. Open Control Panel and double Backup and Restore.2. Select the new external hard drive as the Storage Desination for your Windows 7 Backup.3. Once you have chosen your location, you can now choose what to backup. Then finish the configuration. After that, you can try to make a backup as a test. Good luck! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------John
