How do I Update my Offline Files cache in Windows 7 to point to a new server?
How do I Update my Offline Files cache in Windows 7 to point to a new server? I reinstalled the OS (Windows 7 ultimate) on the machine hosting the drive which contains a folder I share with another computer using offline files. All the names were kept the same, but the sharing computer shows 'disconnected' in sync center, although the host computer is visible on the network, and the desired share folder is browsable from both computers? The second machine is also running Windows 7 ultimate.

Hi, Based on my research, I suggest you disable the Offline Files on each machine and re-enable it again. Regarding the more information about Offline Files, please also refer to the following article: What's New in Offline Files for Windows Vista Thanks, Novak

Thank you. I gave up last week and formatted the csc on the sharing machine, changed the name of the host machine, and reestablished the share. Next time I will try your suggestion.
