How can you tell if a system image has been made?
In a recent settlement I had, I am getting all of the copies of Windows 7 and some computers but they will keep some of computers without an OS. I would like to make sure they didn't make a image of the hard drive which I am pretty sure if they took it out and made the image, there would be no trace of it. Inside Windows 7 if you look at "Backup & Restore" it shows that Windows has not been backed up but is there a way to tell if they told windows to "Create a system image?".

If they used a third party program such as Acronis True Image, there would be no trace whatsoever on the PC that anything was done. It can be run from a boot CD and nothing at all is installed on the host. SC Tom -There's no such thing as TMI when asking for tech support.

If they run Windows 7 Windows Image Backup, it will be recorded in Event Log.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
