How can you force explorer.exe 32 bit?
I'm trying to use TortoiseHG on Windows7 64bit. TortoiseHG is an 32bit application that works as an shell extension in explorer. Since it's a 32bit application it doesn't show in 64bit explorer.exe. On Vista64 and pre-RC Win7 you could start a 32bit explorer.exe and get access to the shellextension and the submenu's required to operate TortoiseHG. C:\Windows\SysWOW64\explorer.exe /separate However, since the RC this has not worked. What I noticed is that in Notepad++, which is an 32bit application, will display the TortoiseHG shell exension in the Open and Save file dialogs. I have checked Task Manage when I try C:\Windows\SysWOW64\explorer.exe /separate and the explorer.exe that's created is NOT a 32bit - it doesn't have the *32 postfix. That's despite that I spesifically give the command to launch the explorer.exe from the 32bit repository. So there appear to be some override present since RC. Why is this? And is there any way to override it?-Cheers!
