How can I use older Microsoft discs on a windows 8 computer.
While I was looking through some old discs, I found a Microsoft train simulator game from 2001. When I tried to install it on my windows 8 computer, it didn't do much but try to look for a picture, and that was the first disc. The second disc just showed the game files. I was wondering if there was a way to make the game work or be compatible my computer. The disc was developed by microsoft game studios and atari. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I didn't find anywhere else. Thanks for the help.

Also check and see if this version is compatible or not:
