How can I tell if my computer is being used for spam?
My ISP changed my outgoing email port. A generic email from them said that my computer was being used for spam. I asked them if my computer was specifically being used for spam, but they just gave a generic reply.I have 4 computers on a home network. Two use AVG and two use Norton Security. The HD on one computer sounds like it is being accessed almost constantly. In Task Manager, though, everything looks OK. The main I/O is with AVG and the second most is with Explorer. Nothing is using an unusual amount of CPU time. How can I tell if my computer is being used to send spam?1 person needs an answerI do too

You can tell by ensuring that all computers are 100% virus/malware-free. It sounds like they aren't and certainly AVG and Norton by themselves are inadequate to make sure the machines are clean. Go through the very thorough malware scanning methods described at the link below. Don't skip the preparatory work and make sure all computers are disconnected from the LAN until you know they are ALL clean. You MUST do this and you MUST do the work on all computers on the LAN.http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_MalwareMS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
