How can I remove Pin this item from taskbar (when registry IsHostApp does not work)?
IsHostApp=0 does not work for an installer creating shortcuts in the start menu for some of my apps. Can someone explain why the permissions on these short cuts does not abide by this key setting? If i copy my shortcut to the desktop it gets new permissions and the IsHostApp does hold true. UPDATE: The IsHostApp=0 is applying the functionality to the apps but it is not hiding the pin to taskbar and pin to start menu options on the .lnk files. UPDATE: The installer created shortcut owner is SYSTEM the one I copied has an owner of <my_username> Please help as we would like to hide the pin item from the task bar and disable the functionality for certain applications.
