How can I read help files from the network?
I used to be able to add MaxAllowedZone=1 to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\ItssRestrictions in order to read a .chm file from the network but this does not work in the latest RC for Win7. I also tried updating internet security by adding the remote machine to the safe zone and allowing UNC paths on the intranet, and that keeps me from getting prompted if OK to open the .chm file, but still does not allow me to see the help information whereinstead, Iget a warning about "Navigation to the webpage was canceled". Would be nice if there was some GUI option to allow this which imo is the ONLY reason for removing this capability. Frustrating when we keep taking two steps forward and one step back with these new releases.

I find that the URLAllowList method still seems to work.

Thanks CC, Now MaxAllowedZone=1 in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\ItssRestrictions is working [all by itself] after fooling with it for an hour trying various wow64 versions and HHrestriction values. Losing my mind I guess...
