How can I enable the dns debug function in Windows 7
Hi All, at the moment I analyze a problem by a customer. The customer will connect to the company network with a OpenVPN Client, when the server push the DNS Settings to the client, we can see this server with nslookup. But when we try to resolve a host over the dns server form the company network, we can see that the Client (Windows 7( use the old dns server. The problem solve automaticly after 15 minutes, than the client use the new DNS server. It's possible to enable the DNS Debug function in Windows 7? I have enable this for round about 1 year on a Windows XP host, but I forgot the steps to enable this. regards, Steffen

Hi Steffen, Would you please let me know how the function was enabled in Windows XP? In addition, I suggest using Network Monitor to debug DNS. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=983b941d-06cb-4658-b7f6-3088333d062f&displaylang=en Best Regards, NikiPlease remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
