How can I eliminate these Windows XP startup errors?
Each time my pc starts, there are four errors in the event viewer. I would like any advice on how I can get rid of any or all of them. Here they are with my comments... "The Creative Audio Service service failed to start due to the following error:The system cannot find the file specified. "My sound card is a Soundblaster made by Creative Audio, but it works fine. How can I find out what file the system is looking for? "The Powertweak NT helper service failed to start due to the following error:The system cannot find the file specified. "Powertweak has not been installed in a long time. Wondering if I can go into the registry and safely delete any Powertweak keys?"The Cyberlink RichVideo Service(CRVS) service failed to start due to the following error:The system cannot find the path specified. "Apparently left over from a past install of PowerDVD. Once again, wondering if I can safely delete related registry keys?"The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: TfFsMonTfSysMon"More remnants of past software. However, in this case the registry key names for each of these is preceded by the text "legacy_" and the registry will not allow me to delete them. What to do? 1 person got this answerI do too
