How To Troubleshoot/Optimize Home LAN?
Can anybody point me to a source for troubleshooting/optimizing my home LAN.Questons like:Can I make one segement of the LAN gigabit while the others are 100 mbps?Under what circumstances does a sub-gigabit device drag down the speed of everything else? Can areas of the LAN be isolated speed-penalty-wise by using switches between them and the router.i.e. Questions above and beyond "How do I get my WiFi working?".1 person needs an answerI do too

HiGiga Network needs computers with Giga Network card and Giga Switch. The Computers with the Giga cards must be plugged into the Gig Switch.Presence of 100Mb/sec. Network Devices on the same network does not affect the Giga.Switches are transparent Network Devices, they do not isolate any thing. The Router's LAN part is actually a regular Switch in the same plastic box as the Routing circuits. Jack-MVP Windows Networking. WWW.EZLAN.NET
