How Can I Make Windows Log Me On Automatically?
Before, my computer was running Windows XP Professional. Whenever it started up, it would log on to my user aoutomatically (there were no other users). Recently, I re-installed Windows XP Professionnal to my computer. Now, every time it starts up, it does not log on by itself! I have to click my user, even though it's the only one to choose! However, when I went to Control Panel>User Accounts, I found that there was a mysterious second user, which was named "ASP.NET Machine A...". (Note: the "..." is part of the name, it's not used to show that the name is cut off.) It is a limited account, and password-protected. Thie account picture is of a pink rose. I did not create this user, nor do I know its password. Is it safe for me to delete this user? If I do, will it solve my problem and log me on automatically? Is there any other way to log me on automatically? Thanks for any help, Rifdhan1 person got this answerI do too

See What is the ASP.NET Machine Account? for an explanation of this account. To Automatically Login: Press the Windows + R keyboard shortcut. Then enter control userpasswords2 in Run dialog box and hit enter. Under User Accounts dialog box, uncheck the box named Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer Click Apply button to see the Automatically Log On dialog box. If you have a password for your user account, enter the password and click ok. If you dont have a password for your account, just click Ok. Reboot Microsoft Security MVP, 2004 - 2009
