Hotmail/Windows Live/Email problems
a) Recently changed ISP whose account I'd used as my Hotmail's account confirmation "reference". I added a Gmail account to the confirmation list but can not change it to be the default because in trying to do so, Hotmail wants confirmation from obsolete ISP account. b) Manage social updates from your friends: Also see about 5 pages of unsolicited items here from ????.cz and ????.ru and flikr etc. etc. Updates from your friends' connected services: You've hidden updates from the following services your friends have connected. To see a service again, select it and click Save. My settings in this area exclude all, I use hotmail for mail. I do not use messenger. Oh I see in settings "Updates from Windows Live- Select what you want to share. Your updates will appear on your profile and be shared with your friends in Messenger and Hotmail are default selected for me??? so deselecting them should prevent more than 5 pages c) In Windows live, my setting is to remove items from (hotmail) deleted folder on close. It does this but when I log into Hotmail the deleted items are still there. d) Maybe correct/best thing to do is open pop account with new ISP and forget Hotmail in Windows live setting. But I still want Hotmail account this will not fix the a) problem.

Thank you for your response. Checking the reference given, there is unfortunately still no way for me to fix a). The only way I can remove the confirmation/reference account is to have removal approval sent to my obsolete ISP account. Because I do not have access to it, it is impossible to get rid of it as being my confirmation/reference account. a) Recently changed ISP whose account I'd used as my Hotmail's account confirmation "reference".
