Hotfix on Prefer IPv4 over IPv6 for Windows 8?

For Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, there is hotfix to set the machine to prefer IPv4 over IPv6

Refer to link below:

As my environment is not going to IPv6 so fast yet. Wonder if there is similar hotfix for Windows 8 / Windows Server 2012?

IPv6, and IPv4 can co-exist. What specific problem(s) you are facing, that you want to disable IPv6?

Windows 8.0, will not prefer IPv6 destinations, if IPv6 internet connectivity is not available. Status of IPv6 internet connectivity is determined by NCSI  service ( Network Connectivity Status Indicator Service).

After my testing, I found NCSI did not work well.

Even NCSI detect IPv6 connection is not availible, Windows still use IPv6 to connect website first, not IPv4.

Thank you.
