Host App Service - unable to click home

I have been unable to click on my home button. Everytime I click it, it says that the host app service is not working.

1) I have tried a restart and it has not worked still.

2) This is one of the error messages I've gotten:

SettingSyncHost (5848) {E3C178A1-9C68-436F-863E-671BBBA75EE2}: An attempt to move the file "C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\SettingSync\metastore\edb00286.log" to "C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\SettingSync\metastore\edbtmp.log" failed with system error 1392 (0x00000570): "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. ".  The move file operation will fail with error -1121 (0xfffffb9f).

Please help.

Hi,

This issue can be caused by corrupted user profile or system file.

Please first test your issue under new user account.

If the issue still persists, let's run following commands as administrator to scan and repair your system files:

SFC /SCANNOW

And then this command:

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

If there is any error or system file failed to repair, upload the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log and C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\DISM.log onto Onedrive or similar network sharing and post back the link for our research.
