Homegroup will not cooperate with me.
I am also having problems with my Homegroup showing up an any of my 6 computers. After these @#$@ windows updates it stopped working. I am not a newbie I have advanced computer knowledge. But, I am stimied here. I go through the step-up and it seemed to be working but none of my computers see each on the homegroup. I even shared dummy folders to get it to work. Attached is the error. No other homegroup computers are currently available Make sure that: . The other homegroup computers are awake and connected to the network. . The network location of this computer and the other homegroup computers is set to Home. . The other homegroup computers have the current homegroup password. . Other people in your homegroup are sharing libraries with the homegroup. View homegroup settings Start the HomeGroup troubleshooter I did 3 times.

1. I do not know anything llike this @#$@ 2. Try to pinpoint which updates are causing the problem and what they could affect. 3. What is the output from ipconfig /all 4. What is the output from nbtstat with parameters pointing to other computers. Do this test with network monitor creating network traffic logs. Reveal your findings here. Regards Milos

I need a exact command to get you what you require. Working is DOS is now confusing for me. I am out of practice. I have tried the troubleshooter and it is useless.

Hi, Based the current situation, we may try to restore the system first and re-create a new home group for a test. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/help/homegroup-from-start-to-finish Please note, all computers should be under the same subnet and their network location should be set to Home.Kim Zhou TechNet Community Support
