Homegroup and slow wireless performance
I noticed when I enabled homegroup membership that my network connectivity slowed to a crawl. The machine takes forever to connect to anything. So far I have not been able to turn homegroup membership off.

Do you have other Windows 7 machines running? Homegroup only works with other Windows 7 machines.

I do have other Windows 7 machines, but I really was just trying out the feature. It appears to have done something to my networking configuration.

Homegroup is useless if you don't have other Windows 7 machines to connect to. Can you restore to before you enabled it?

In the end I did a repair from the DVD and that took care of it. The machine is a fresh install and seems to connect just fine now.

also same problem! Win7 - Win7 copying a 700MB video from Homegroup share. Can get up to 1MB/s, but usually less across G wireless. Has anyone tried wireless file copy speed across homegroup? This is horribly slow!
