Home networking problem
Several months ago I purchased a new Lenovo SL400 laptop. I set it up on my home wireless network for sharing files and printers and it worked fine. About two weeks ago I lost the connection and cannot access files on my desktop or print from my laptop. I have followed the instructions to add another computer to the network but using a flash drive in the desktop, then to the laptop and back to the desk top. It says it is set up but I cannot find the desktop when I go to network places on the laptop. Both are on XP Professional. Can anyone help?1 person needs an answerI do too

What happened two weeks ago just before you lost the connection? Can you get to the Internet from the laptop (assuming that you used to be able to do so)? If you have any shared files on the laptop, can you access them from the desktop? Do the following on *each* PC, substituting the name of the computers for [desktop] and [laptop]. If you are not sure of your computer's name, right-click on My Computer, select Properties, and click on the "Computer Name" tab. You want the "full computer name." 1. Click Start > Run2. Type the three letters cmd3. Click OK4. Type the following commands and press the Enter key after each of them:set comp > c:\test.txtipconfig /all >> c:\test.txtnet share >> c:\test.txtping [desktop] >> c:\test.txtping [laptop] >> c:\test.txtnotepad c:\test.txt5. Paste the contents of the result from *each* PC into your reply.
