Home network between 2 computer. One with WIN7 and the other with WINXP
I have 2 computer one with WIN7 and the other with WINXP that are connect to hub/switch . How can I create Home network between 2 computer with WIN7 and WINxp?

Aloon, You just need to make a workgroup name and connect both WiNXP computer and WIN7 computer to it. Thats how I have it set up. (This is the old way and doesn't have anything to do with the new homegroups functionality). Problem is, the workgroup seems temperamental and sometimes doesn't work... restart SOMETIMEs solves the problem, sometimes doesn't I'm not sure if this is a known problem or not.

If you are not using a router you will need to set up TCP/IP properties on both computers to use the same TCP/IP network settings. For example: Computer A - TCP/IP address 192.168.1.2 Computer B - TCP/IP address 192.168.1.3 BOTH - Subnet (Netmask) 255.255.255.0 If you are attached to a router - make sure the TCP/IP settings are set for 'Automatically Assign' this information and you should be set.
