Am I getting the same performance from my Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7700 when I use Windows XP Home edition as I would if I were using Windows XP Professional? Same question for Windows 7 versions. I ask because I note that Home specifications say it will only use 1 processor. Would this processor be considered 1 or 2 processors in this context. Thanks.1 person needs an answerI do too

You would get the same performance with your single processor under XP Pro as you do under XP Home. I can't say how well your computer would perform under Win7 but the same restrictions apply - Professional versions can handle more than one processor, Home versions cannot.
