I am new to home networking and would like to share files between computers. My new one in on Windows 7 and the other is on Vista, how do I set up the network and connect these computers for shareing documents, pics, etc? Thank you.

Make sure you create a workgroup, not a homegroup; a homegroup can be used only on Windows 7 computers. The details of how to do this are a little to complex for a thorough reply here. But there are several good web sites with this information, and I recommend that you do a web search to find one. Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP
