Hi, Thank you for posting. Firstly, I would like to share the following document with you: Windows 7 features HomeGroup Based on my understanding, older versions of Windows, such as Windows Vista and Windows XPare not supported by HomeGroup. However, you can still share files or folders between Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP computers on a network. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT

Thank you for the reply.I was aware that windows 7 is the only one that supports HomeGroup. I only have one computer running Windows 7, so I have not gotten the chance to use HomeGroup and see it in action. I know it is possible to share files and folders with older Windows OS, I have shares set up all the way down to Windows 2000. I was just curious if Microsoft was planning on adding this functionality to Xp or Vista. It honestly was not the easiest task in the world to setup a network between Windows 7 and Older Operating systems.
