HomeGroupUser$ -- password does not change

I have a single Win 8 machine at home. I just ran the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer on it and it complained about  accounts having "non-expiring" passwords. One such account is "HomeGroupUser$"

1. What is that account used for?

2. On my single machine do I even need this account? Can I disable or delete it without any bad side effects?

TIA,

edm2

P.S. I also noticed another non-expiring account called UpdatusUser described as "Used to provide NVIDIA software updates". I wasn't aware of that one either!

This is a system service account. HomeGroup users use this account to access HomeGroup shares. Do not delete this account.

UpdatusUser is created by NVIDIA update service.

So what's the correct response to a password query for this account, as in when trying to connect to a printer shared via the Homegroup?
