High RAM usage?

Hi,

I'm having problems with speed on my laptop. It is a Samsung series 7 Chronos with an i5 cpu, an AMD Radeon R9 270x gpu and 8gb of RAM. So it should be capable of being pretty nippy, but it's not. It's frequently crashing programmes and more often than not my RAM usage is up in the 70 and 80%'s, when I'm simply running maybe 2 or 3 programmes like Word, IE etc. I had a screenshot prepared but I'm not allowed to link it here, but it was taken when I had 2 IE tabs open only, and it's already on 33%. Needless to say I have to wait millennia for things to load up. Service host is pretty sizeable but I'm afraid to remove anything on this list because I really don't know what's needed and what isn't.

Can anybody please identify which would be okay to lose? The most demanding programmes on my list are Internet Explorer, Service host: Local System, Antimalware service executable, Windows Explorer, Microsoft Windows Search, Host Process for Setting Synch..., Service host: Local Service, Service host: Local system (15), Service Host: Network Service, Service Host: Local Service (8), Desktop Window Manager and Intel services manager (32-bit).

Thanks

Hi,

I just make an supplement, for this problem, you can also try to use RAMmap which used to analyze application memory usage, and learn how memory allocated.

Access to the link below for more details:
